Best Western Plus Royal Mountain Inn & Suites Athens, Athens

My stay at the hotel was overall very pleasant. The rooms were always spotless every day, big, spacious, and very clean and comfortable. However, there was a slight musty smell that was noticeable. The service provided was great, from breakfast to all cleaning services, with friendly and proactive staff, although there was an issue with some bulbs being out. The location was good for our activities, close to other buildings and Lake Athens, but there was a lingering smell of cigarettes in some areas. The dining experience was fair, with a traditional hotel continental breakfast that the staff worked hard to keep fresh and hot. The facilities were decent but could be a bit improved. The price was reasonable, considering the amenities offered.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms seemed recently redone and had a comfortable bed, but they smelled musty and smokey even though it was a smoke-free room.
